WOW (Wings of Women), the 4th annual one-day conference for high school-age girls — the National Museum of the US Air Force, Dayton, OH, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Girls will meet professional women from various areas of aviation who will talk to them about putting your life on the flight path for success. Sarah is one of several mentors. Others include WASP Nadine Nagle and the first woman to fly jet airliners for a major airline, Emily Howell Warner. Sarah will present WASP Gold, a PowerPoint presentation of the WASP receiving the Congressional Gold Medal.

AirVenture at Oshkosh, Wisconsin: The World’s Biggest Fly-in — Sarah will be selling her 4 WASP books at The Author’s Corner daily. Her PowerPoint presentation “The WASP of the Ferry Command: The Rest of the Story” can be seen in the Vette Theater, inside the museum, on Friday, July 30, at 2:30 p.m.

Centerville Rotary Club, Yankee Trace Golf Club — 10000 Yankee Street, Centerville OH, 11:30 a.m. Sarah will talk about her newest book -- Nancy Batson Crews: Alabama's First Lady of Flight. Crews was one of the original WAFS — the first squadron of WASP (women pilots) formed early in World War II. Sarah will talk about getting to know Nancy and working with her to write The Originals, Sarah's first book about the WAFS. And she will tell how Nancy's biography grew out of that effort and their friendship.

302nd Airlift Wing, Holiday Inn in Fairborn OH, 6 p.m. Sarah will give her PowerPoint presentation “The WASP of the Ferry Command: The Rest of the Story.” The subject of her talk is a preview of the subject of her next book in her WASP series.

Southern Museum of Flight, 7 p.m. — address 4343 73rd Street North, Birmingham AL 35206. The Aero Club, the Ninety Nines, and the Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame presents Sarah Byrn Rickman and her new book Nancy Batson Crews: Alabama’s First Lady of Flight.
